Now I have read some good books in my time, quite a few actually over the years but the amount of books that have really got to me and made me want to read them again are few, in fact i can count them on one hand – Chronicles of Narnia( C.S Lewis) – The Beach Dogs(Colin Dan) – Children of the Dust(Louise Lawrence) and now The fault in our stars (John Green)

Notice that all but one are books I read as a young adult hehe. Now alongside good books such as The hunger Games, Angela’s Ashes, The Twilight saga etc are usually good films, but I always find the films are lacking in something and are never quite as good as the book, in the case of Angela’s ashes I actually stopped watching as compared to the book it was appalling !! But I was pleasantly surprised with the film of The fault in our stars as although like many before the film left bits out that are in the book, it was an amazing rendition and was beautifully made. All the important stuff was there and the scenes played out exactly as I had imagined them when reading, and the emotional bits had me crying as much as the book did.

This is definitely one book and film combo I would recommend you reading/watching, but be warned its a weepy so make sure you have the tissues to hand
