Mr Geek is well known for getting little ‘obsessions’ and these always involve a HUGE amount of research and usually just a few purchases but his newest ‘obsession’ has started to take over a little!! What is it I hear you ask?? Well its stationary, namely notebooks/journals and fountain pens!!
Now its amazing how much research can go into stationary but believe me its a vast world of inks papers and pens out there not to mention how many different styles of the same notebook/journal there is!!
So where did it start? Mr Geek discovered something called bullet journaling and thought it may be a good idea for both of us to do as it might help us remember what we need to do and by writing it down might improve my memory. I have to admit it does work. We both bought a journal, mine a lot cheaper than his, and while I settled with mechanical pencils from tesco he had to get the perfect pen!! lots of research done and pen bought. I am still using said journal while he is on goodness knows which one (and not because its been used up either). Mr Geek decided he wanted a fountain pen so again research done he bought himself a nice ‘starter’ fountain pen and loves it, I indulge and buy him a lovely hand turned fountain pen from M Saben-Smith and again he loves it, so fast forward a few months and he now owns 5 fountain pens and 7 different colour inks for them!!!!
Now for the journals!! He started out with a simple A5 journal and now has a leather bound midori style travellers journal(not an originl tho) that houses his bullet journal, date diary, diary/journal and sketch pad!!
Here is Mr Geeks haul of stationary so far.
So my question to you is has Mr Geek become a pen king or is he in fact now a stationary crazy??
Now I must confess I do really like his new journal and he has got me into the stationary bug as he did buy me a very special leather bound journal for my birthday made by Mothercuffers that I have started writing my poetry in and I have caught the fountain pen bug as I now own one too but I do like to tease 😉
And here is mine 😉
