So here I am again, attempting a blog!!! But what do I blog about today???
I asked that very question this morning on my social media platforms and someone suggested I blog about how to motivate myself to write even when I don’t feel like it. I’m not sure its lack of motivation but rather lack of interesting content and I do wonder how people manage to do this on a daily/weekly basis. Now pop me in a room with a bunch of strangers and I can talk for Britain but ask me to think of a subject to write about and I stutter!!!
I made a pact with Voodoo Mama from Voodoo Dolls and Zombie Friends to blog once a week, and she was going to do the same. For the first 2 weeks we both did very well, then we hit half term and my work load was very slow and I did family things with the kids instead, with a promise to myself I would write a blog when I got back the following week!! This is now week 3 of the kids being back at school and still no blog has emerged (until now).
I feel as tho I am just churning out random things to fill a page but some would say that is exactly what blogging is!! I am still uncertain if I know what I am doing when it comes to blogging and still have no idea what I will make my next blog about, but I do know that writing down just how this is making me feel is definitely stirring something in me!! I guess I will either end this with a load of ideas or feeling like I have achieved absolutely nothing, but at least I have tried.
I remember once, sooo many years ago, when I was at school being told in an English lesson we had to pick a subject to research and write about. We then had to stand in front of the class and read out our essays, one boy when asked what he was going to write about replied nothing miss, the teacher held him to this and he had to write an essay about nothing and stand up and tell us all about it. It was amazing how long an essay you can write when the subject is nothing but he did it and got top marks to boot, so it just goes to show that even when you have no idea what to write about you still have nothing as a subject matter!!!
This has been a great lesson in how to talk nonsense for 15 mins hehe and I hope I haven’t bored you too much, I would love to know what you would like me to blog about in the future, so please let me know your ideas in comments .
