Day 7 – Whats pushing you to recover?   That is an easy one, my children. I have been diagnosed since 2007, started being really ill a year before that and at the time I was a single parent. My daughter aka little miss geek was just 5/6 at the time and I have asked so much of her as a child carer that I would love for one day to be able to not have to put so much on her tiny shoulders, Don’t get me wrong I did have a lot of people around me helping but at 6 I should have been doing things for her not the other way around, I have since met Mr Geek and of course we now have mini geek who is approaching 3 but little miss geek who is now 13 and a half still does so much for me that I should be able to do for myself. She is an amazing young lady and I am so proud of her and the way she helps with no resentment at all just care and love. So my push is to be a stronger mum to my 2 beautiful children.

How far in your recovery do you see yourself 1 year from today, I would hope that a year from today I will have a better handling on my condition again. I have done it before and I am determined to do it again. This has to start with going back to basics and getting the pacing slips out again and recording everything I do. I also need to get back to losing weight again as it does vastly improve my symptoms the lighter I weigh. I am not un-realistic tho I know I will never be cured but I also know that with the correct pacing and planning and gentle exercise I can get control again and tame the beast that is ME.
